The following user guide contains information about the new limits, credit and collateral functionalities in X-Hedge as part of the roll out of the new Variation Margin structure.
Initial Margin (IM) Requirements
Disclaimer: The Initial Margin (IM) represents the minimum cash collateral required when booking a foreign exchange contract with ALT21. This collateral must be provided upfront to open a new contract. The IM requirements outlined below are determined by ALT21 and are subject to regular review and potential adjustment. For trading cross-currency pairs with differing IM requirements, the higher currency IM requirement will apply.
For disclosure, it’s important to note that while this list represents the standard initial margin requirement, individual trade confirmations take precedence over it. Please refer to FAQs for a working example of how initial margin is calculated.
